Can I vent for a minute?

Ok lovelies, I freely admit that I have had a bit of an attitude problem lately.  It has been ridiculously hot here and I am 35 (??) weeks pregnant.  Do I need any other excuse?  Don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy being pregnant however I do not enjoy the heat.
So today, I was at a conference and this woman asked me if my pregnancy was an accident or planned.  Umm what??? So I looked at her and said "it doesn't really matter at this point, does it?" You'd be proud of me lovelies, other than this statement to this heffer, I held my tongue.  No comment on her weight or her jacked up weave.  I turned my back and attempted to drop the 'leave me alone' hint to her (she sat right next to me during this workshop).   She then proceeded to tell me that she has 'been there, done that' as far as pregnancy and that her husband wants a baby boy and she will probably end up having one for him.  Blah. blah, blah.  OMG!!!! I had to get up and leave her presence while she was in mid sentence about something I didn't want to hear about.  I didn't see her for the rest of the day.
Needless to say, I was rubbed up like a magic lamp all day despite my repeated requests for people to not touch me. I don't care how cute you think I am pregnant, if I tell you not to touch my belly, have the decency to comply with my request.
Rant over.

Ugh! Some people just don't hear how they sound. Seriously, I'm very proud of you for holding your tongue.

I'll never understand people's obsession with rubbing pregnant bellies. I guess I'm not touchy feely enough because the thought has never even crossed my mind.

Stay cool!

You are better than I am! By that point in my pregnancy I was telling everyone off that came at me the wrong way.

Where do people get off asking the questions they do?

Darcel, you have no idea how bad I wanted to tell her off. We were in a workshop and I really do like my job. I could have gone to her supervisor but at that point, i was too through. lol.

in the words of my hubby, 'this woman obviously has no home training.'
